When BOMEX, BOMA Canada's national conference and exposition, opens this September in Canada's largest city, it will feature an exciting agenda of timely and relevant information sessions, key industry events and worthwhile networking opportunities. Taking place September 18 - 21, BOMEX 2007, with the conference theme Power in Partnerships, is sure to draw delegates from coast to coast to coast.

"The conference's focus on partnerships will serve to reinforce the importance of communication and information-sharing in forging and leveraging alliances in all aspects of business," said Ken Loeppky, President of BOMA Canada. "The restructuring of the conference program to give delegates greater flexibility to attend sessions of specific interest to them is sure to enhance everyone's BOMEX experience."

Two top-notch keynote speakers are confirmed for BOMEX, whose dynamic presentations will captivate audiences with topics ranging from the economy to the markets to security. The opening general session features Linda Sims, a Gemini Award-Winning broadcaster who regularly interviews Canada's leading CEOs, economists and market analysts to discuss key corporate and economic issues.

The closing plenary will feature Dr. Thomas Homer-Dixon, author of the #1 bestseller and Governor General's Award winning book, and recently, the winner of the National Business Book Award, The Ingenuity Gap. Dr. Thomas Homer-Dixon's presentations provide a wake-up call pertinent to any audience, offering solutions to the many complex problems that governments, corporations and individuals face.

Building on a highly successful component of last year's event, BOMEX 2007 will feature two executive roundtable sessions. Panelists representing Canada's largest property management organizations will participate in an Executive Roundtable, looking at today's market conditions, tenant issues, staffing concerns and more.

The new Operational Roundtable will focus on environmental issues and BOMA Canada's successful Go Green program. Senior operations executives and directors will share their experiences regarding the steps, processes and outcomes of integrating environmental initiatives across their portfolios. They will also discuss environmental stewardship as well their perceptions about the benefits of the Go Green program.

As in the past, BOMEX will offer a host of timely educational opportunities, revolving around what is at the heart of managing buildings today, including resource conservation; security both inside and outside the physical structure; locating great employees; finding ways to save money; and the importance of emergency preparedness, including pandemic planning. In addition to the keynote speakers and roundtable sessions, BOMEX includes a two-day exposition structured to be accessible to delegates at times that do not conflict with the educational program.

BOMEX will open on the Tuesday with the annual delegate golf tournament at the nationally acclaimed Angus Glen, home of the 2007 Canadian Open. Wednesday evening will be dedicated to recognizing excellence in the Canadian commercial real estate industry, at BOMA Canada's prestigious National Awards Gala. BOMA Canada closes off the event with a bang, at the Thursday evening Closing Party, sure to be a fabulous event, celebrating not only a successful BOMEX 2007, but also BOMA Toronto's 90th Anniversary.
