Stephen Yurek Named AHRI Chief Executive Officer

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) recently named Stephen Yurek to the position of Chief Executive Officer. His new title is President and CEO.
Stephen joined Air Conditioning and Refrigeration institute in 2002 as Vice President of Policy and Public Affairs and General Counsel. He was promoted in 2006 to Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to President in 2007. He came to the company from the education community, having served as Vice President of Business Development and Public Affairs for CompassLearning, Inc. and, prior to that was General Counsel and Chief Operating Office at the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry and a Juris Doctor.
